Historically inspired: Family stamp
My wife and I, both being creatives, made a joint effort to collaborate and create a crest to brand our wedding invitations, postage stamps, web presence, and any other future projects. Inspiration came out of Dutch and German calligraphy, based on heritage from our families. We also both deeply appreciate the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, so his signature book icon proved a great style to build off from due to it’s balance of symmetry and asymmetry. Found within are the letters R (backwards), K (for Kristina), and the letter H (Heck). Built from paper sketches and finalized in Illustrator.
